I recently discovered these awesome weapons produced by Square-Enix in 2002 (2003?) which will now cost an arm and leg to obtain nowadays.
Apparently, these weapons are in-scale with the Dragon Quest VIII Play Arts figures. Now I know why Square-Enix released the DQVIII figures in such size parallel to the Fullmetal Alchemist figures.
These, however, are called "Legend Items Gallery" not "Dragon Quest VIII Play Arts Arms." All weapons in the picture belong to the series one of the said Legend Items Gallery shokugan or candy toys / "boxed gashapon" Series one is definitely harder to obtain than series two because there are a lot of E-bay auctions with the series two Legend Items Gallery.
If you find one of the Legend Items Gallery in the stores near you, I suggest that you buy it. It's worth it whether you have a DQVIII Play Arts or not.
Don't get me wrong. I don't have grudges against Jessica. She has a suitable weapon for her in series two. I just don't have proper pictures of them.
I'm confused between Gaia's Sword or Falcon's Sword for Kukule/Angelo. If Kukule must have a shield, Roto's Emblem is a good one to use. However, that'd cost you two boxes of hard-to-find series one Legend Items Gallery figures. For thrift's sake and color-matching look, Gaia's Sword is the excellent choice. Besides, Rapier wielders rarely use shields. All Hail Genesis Rhapsodos! LOL.
Hero, of course, should have all of the Roto equipment. He's the main Hero after all! As for Yangus, his colors match perfectly with the Demon weapons: Axe and Shield.
If you find an online retailer of these weapons, please link me via comment. Thanks a lot!
